Diana: We're here with Trish, one of our
fantastic Nourish Awards judges to talk
about her new book “Nourish Your Gut”
Trish, you are not just a master of the juice
bar but also a seasoned expert in
functional nutrition. Can you share a bit
about your personal journey and
expertise?
Trish: Of course! I've spent two incredible
decades immersing myself in the world of
nutrition and well-being. From my early
days stirring up fresh pressed juices at
festivals to studying functional nutrition,
it's been a journey. I've honed my
expertise through clinical practice, and as
a Nourish Awards judge, I've explored the
latest innovations in health food.
Diana: Impressive! We love having you on
the Nourish panel. And this journey led you
to write "Nourish Your Gut." What's the
scoop on that?
Trish: "Nourish Your Gut" is my heart and
soul in written form. It’s a culmination of my
life’s work, blending my knowledge of
nutrition, hormones, and gut health into 159
delicious, healing recipes. It's about
indulging in the joy of eating while bringing
balance to your body.
Diana: What unique perspectives do you
bring to this book from your experiences?
Trish: As a Nourish Awards judge, I've been
privileged to sample the forefront of food
innovation, which has inspired my recipes.
This book is my invitation to everyone to
experience the thrill of food that not only
delights the palate but also heals the gut.
Diana: Besides recipes, what wisdom does
your book impart?
Trish: Beyond the kitchen, I offer insights
into a holistic approach to well-being. We’ll
talk fibre, fermented foods, and how stress
and sleep can affect your gut. It’s not just
about what’s on your plate, but also how you
live your life.
Diana: You’ve overcome personal health
challenges as well. How does that influence
your writing?
Trish: Overcoming my own battles with
asthma and allergies has been life-changing.
It’s given me a personal testament to the
power of functional nutrition, and I’m
passionate about helping others find their
path to optimal health.
Diana: Lastly, what do you want readers to

Trish: This book is your guide to a
